Dramatic end – Unterhaching and Aue part with a draw

With great morale and a last-minute goal, Erzgebirge Aue has returned to the top of the 3rd league, at least for the time being. The Saxons managed a 2:2 (1:0) draw with SpVgg Unterhaching. Steffen Nkansah (90th+5) equalized with the last action of the game – and prevented his team from losing their second defeat in a row.

The party began to fall apart. Aue had control of the game from the start, but had few chances until Marcel Bär made it 0-1 in the 42nd minute. The club concentrated on defending, but woke up offensively after the visitors took the lead with a chance from Lenn Jastremski.

SpVgg turns the party around – then comes extra time

In the second half, the hosts managed a double strike: Sebastian Maier (61st) and Lenn Jastremski (64th) turned the game around within four minutes. Aue had good chances to equalize in the final phase, but substitute center-back Nkansah managed to score with a tap-in.

Aue, which had won all of its first four games of the season, was now at the top with 13 points. Dynamo Dresden (12), SV Wehen-Wiesbaden and Arminia Bielefeld (both 11) could overtake them on Saturday during the 6th matchday. Unterhaching (8) is still in the middle of the table.
