“He basically sent me to jail,” Barrow said when asked about Diddy's arrest, according to the New York Post. Barrow is now a politician in his home country of Belize.

“This is someone who destroyed my life,” he added, speaking of the 10-year prison sentence he received for “defending” the music mogul.

Barrow said he was in New York in 1999 and “an 18-year-old boy who wanted nothing more than to make my mother and Belize proud and … to be recognized for my talent and to conquer the world.” But instead he became “the scapegoat” for Diddy, he said, when three people were injured after Diddy fired a shot into the ceiling of a Midtown dance club. Diddy was there with Jennifer Lopez, who was his girlfriend at the time.

“We must not lose sight of the hard facts”

Diddy later claimed he shot in self-defense. Barrow received a prison sentence – ten years for shooting two bystanders. “I defended him and he turned around and called witnesses to testify against me,” Barrow said now. “We must not lose sight of the hard facts.”

“This is someone who has destroyed my life, but do I feel any joy or satisfaction for what he is going through?” he added. “Absolutely not.”

Diddy is currently behind bars on charges of sex trafficking and organized crime.

Barrow was released in 2009 and deported to Belize. He is now the opposition leader in the Belize House of Representatives.

When asked if he knew anything about Diddy's “freak offs,” in which he allegedly forced women to have sex with male prostitutes while masturbating and recording the sessions, Barrow reportedly giggled and said, “Oh my God! I have nothing to do with Sean Combs' personal life… everything was done on a purely professional level.”
