Crash with public bus! Motorcyclist seriously injured

A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a bus in Tettnang on Thursday. The police are now looking for witnesses.

The accident occurred on Thursday afternoon at around 4:45 p.m. on Loretostrasse in Tettnang (Bodenseekreis), the police reported. According to the report, a 72-year-old motorcyclist was driving with his sidecar towards Lindauer Strasse when a bus came towards him. The bus driver wanted to turn left onto Hermannstrasse and stopped at a narrow spot because of the biker.

According to the police's findings so far, the 72-year-old grazed the bus as it drove past, was then thrown onto the right-hand curb and from there crashed into the bus with full force.

Biker suffers serious leg injuries in crash with bus

The senior citizen sustained serious leg injuries in the crash. The emergency services took the 72-year-old to a hospital. The total damage amounts to around 10,000 euros. The volunteer fire department took care of the operating fluids that had leaked out.
