Triumph expands its Enduro plans with an all-British factory team

Triumph's off-road racing program has received a huge boost following the announcement that the brand will compete in both the 2025 FIM SuperEnduro and EnduroGP World Championships with its highly anticipated enduro machine.

The involvement in both series – as well as the North American AMA EnduroCross Championship and selected events during the racing season – will be overseen by off-road legend and four-time Enduro World Champion Paul Edmondson in his new role as head of the Triumph Racing factory enduro program. The former enduro star has close ties to the brand, having helped develop the TF 250-X motocrosser and having ridden Triumph's stunt double in the Bond film No Time to Die.

Triumph has also signed British enduro star Jonny Walker. Walker, a three-time SuperEnduro runner-up, will be looking to go one better in 2025. He has his sights set on the SE World Championship title and is also planning a series of EnduroGP and AMA EnduroCross appearances. The 33-year-old will make his Triumph debut at the Indoor Enduro of Champions event at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle on October 5.

“I'm really excited to be joining Triumph,” said Walker. “To be the first rider to represent Triumph Racing in enduro is special. My bike already feels great, which makes things a lot easier. It's also great to have Paul Edmondson on board. He has so much experience, not only in running successful teams, but in racing itself, which is invaluable. It's really exciting to have a British manager running a British team with a British rider, and that's something you don't get to experience very often.”

Edmondson, who won a record-breaking 18th gold medal at his last ISDE in 2012, is equally excited about the challenge.

“Officially joining the Triumph Racing Factory Team for Enduro is another huge milestone in my career. To say I’m excited would be an understatement! Having worked with Triumph for several years on some cool projects, I know we have a bright future in Enduro.

“Signing Jonny is the icing on the cake,” continued Edmondson. “The fact that we can offer a great bike with full factory support means to me that there is only one path for him – to fight for race wins and championships.”

Details on the full specification, price and availability of the new enduro machine are limited, but it is certain to be an evolution of the already launched TF 250-X motocross bike, which went on sale earlier this year for £9,795.

Triumph has told MCN that they will release more information about the new machine later this year.
