These four dials are no longer available

A new OS version always brings with it a lot of changes. In addition to new functions that are introduced and expand the OS, older features and the like are also removed. In watchOS 11, for example, this affects four watch faces that are no longer available in the new watchOS. The Siri, Chronograph, Explorer and Numerals watch faces have been discontinued.

Chronograph is one of the original watch faces that appeared on the first Apple Watch. watchOS 7 introduced Chronograph Pro, which essentially follows the same concept and is also based on a stopwatch, but was developed for modern displays. Until watchOS 10, users could choose either Chronograph or Chronograph Pro. Now Chronograph has been discontinued.

Numerals, another analog watch face that was introduced with watchOS 6, is also no longer available. The watch face contained a numeric hour display and an analog hand. The color and style could be customized and the numeric hour display moved clockwise.

The fact that the “Explorer” watch face has been discontinued is interesting for observers. This watch face was first introduced for LTE-capable models of the Apple Watch Series 3 and was only available for LTE versions from then on. It has three sets of red and white hands. For years, Explorer was the only watch face that also included a display of the cellular signal. Apple has now changed that with the new watchOS; Explorer was discontinued at the same time.

The disappearance of the aforementioned watch faces is already being hotly debated on Reddit. Do you miss any of the faces in particular?
