1 dead in shooting in Ellwood City

As TribLive news partner WTAE reported, Ellwood City Police confirmed the death of one person and the arrest of a suspect following a shooting Thursday evening.

Police did not disclose what led to the shooting.

The incident occurred at Ellwood City Forge, but the suspect was arrested on Belton Road in North Sewickley, according to police. It is unclear how many people were at the manufacturing facility.

Commercial Avenue, which leads to the blacksmith shop, was closed while police investigated the scene and spoke to several witnesses.

The investigation is ongoing with state police, which will release more information Friday morning, Ellwood City police said.
