Two days of partying: The new music festival “Stade City Rockt” promises party fun at its finest

Enjoying the finest live music and doing something good at the same time is the motto of the new festival “Stade City Rockt”. The party will take place on Friday and Saturday, September 27th and 28th, in the “Alten Schlachthof” at Freiburger Straße 4 in Stade. It starts at 7.30 p.m. on two days.

The event is organized by Volker Schultz and Matthias Stephan. They deliberately chose the “Alter Schlachthof” youth center in the heart of Stade as the venue in order to bring live music back to the city center after the Irish Pub at the Pferdemarkt closed. Volker Schultz has already organized several music events in Stade, all of which served a good cause. This time was no different. “The net proceeds from the sale of the tickets will be donated to Lebenshilfe Stade and Diakonie Stade,” promise Schultz and Stephan. The event is supported by numerous sponsors as well as by the Hanseatic City of Stade.

Musically, there is something to suit almost every taste. From German rock to party rock to alternative and cover rock, everything is there. “Rock out, party, dance and have lots of fun, we offer everything under one roof,” promise the organizers.

On Friday the bands “Mont Go” and “Maggers United” will perform, on Saturday “Amarock” and “Beyond Excuse”. The latter are filling in for the originally hired group “Glutsucht”, which unfortunately had to cancel at short notice for personal reasons. The name of the band “Beyond Excuse” or “Sorry not sorry” is also the motto of the young band from Jork and Stade. The group consists of a teacher, two of his students and an experienced singer who has already achieved some highs with “Drachenflug”. Norbert Bredy from Buxtehude, who is very experienced musically and known from “Barbys Back”, is on drums. The band specializes in rock music, among other things, and covers well-known hits.

The four North German guys from “Amarock” delight audiences with authentic cover songs by AC/DC, Foo Fighters, Blink 182, Guns'n'Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Police and many others. Their passionate and sweaty live show has been electrifying audiences at city festivals, various well-known major events and in selected music clubs since 2015.

The group “Mont Go” takes its name from a historical mountain whose silhouette is reminiscent of a sleeping elephant. Nothing is missed by the Cuxhaven trio, which has been on stage together since 2011 and whose repertoire includes pop, rock, metal, alternative/independent and punk/hardcore.

The Hamburg band “Maggers United” is dedicated to German-language rock. The Hanseatics have brought their new song “Feet in the Sand” with them. “Maggers United” prefers it loud rather than quiet and the audience quickly notices how much fun the musicians are having on stage.

The team from the Barcarole Bar, led by managing director Peter Treder, will take care of the physical well-being at the festival.
