Third man found guilty in fatal shooting of Landry Anglin in 2022

SHREVEPORT, Louisiana (KSLA) – A third person involved in the 2022 murder of Shreveport teenager Landry Anglin has been convicted.

On September 19, 28-year-old Tramaine Taylor pleaded guilty to illegal use of a weapon from a motor vehicle.

On May 1, 2022, Taylor was driving a white Chrysler 300 on Fairfield Avenue behind a gold Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Gavontay Johnson, with Kenmiccael Ray and his young daughter as passengers. According to the Caddo Parish District Attorney's Office, Taylor's car turned east onto Erie Street and followed the Cavalier.

From the Cavalier, passenger Ray opened fire on the Chrysler. Taylor and other occupants of his car returned fire.

A forensic weapons analysis revealed that one of the bullets from Ray's gun killed 13-year-old Landry Anglin. In June, Caddo prosecutors convicted Ray of first-degree murder and sentenced him to life in prison.

Under the terms of a plea agreement, Taylor was sentenced to ten years in prison.

Another defendant is awaiting trial.
