Will quarterback Jordan Love play on Sunday when the Green Bay Packers travel to face the Tennessee Titans in Week 3?

That's the question that's been looming since Love returned to practice this week after sitting out all of last week with a strained medial ligament (MCL) in his left knee.

The injury occurred late in the Packers' season-opening loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sept. 6, and Love missed the Green Bay Packers' Week 2 win over the Indianapolis Colts.

Love returned to the training field on Wednesday, 12 days after his injury.

Here’s what we know about Love’s status:

What is Jordan Love’s practice status?

Love returned to the practice field on Wednesday, the team's first practice before their Week 3 game against the Tennessee Titans in Nashville.

Love was limited in her enjoyment because she wore a bulky knee brace under a protective cover.

On Thursday he trained again, again on a “limited” basis, but on Thursday with protective equipment.

Packers coach Matt LaFleur did not yet know whether Love would practice on Friday, but joked: “I'm sure he will be limited.”

LaFleur said only that Love had been “limited” in practice, but did not provide details on which drills his quarterback participated in and which he did not.

Will Jordan Love play in Tennessee in Week 3?

That's unknown, but more likely than last week when Love didn't practice.

LaFleur said Love will have up to 90 minutes before kickoff on Sunday to prepare, as that is when inactive players must be reported to the league.

What injury does Jordan Love have?

Love has suffered a medial ligament strain in his left knee.

The medial collateral ligament is a band of tissue that provides stability to the knee joint, according to the National Institutes of Health. There are three levels of severity, depending on how large the opening is in the joint.

Patients with first-degree injuries can usually return to play within 10 to 14 days, while for patients with second-degree injuries the time to return may vary.

How did Jordan Love get injured?

On the Packers' third-to-last play in Week 1 against Philadelphia, Love's knee buckled under the weight of Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter, who tried to bring him down.

What does the Packers lineup look like at quarterback?

Willis started Sunday in Week 2's game against the Colts, a 16-10 home opener.

Sean Clifford, last year's reserve and this year's practice squad quarterback, was promoted and served as the No. 2 back on Sunday.

Here's a look at the Packers' quarterback lineup:

  • QB1: Jordan Love
  • QB2: Malik Willis
  • Training squad: Sean Clifford
