Student accused of stabbing at Sterling High School showed no remorse

HOUSTON – Charges have now been filed against the 17-year-old Houston ISD student accused of stabbing a 16-year-old student during a fight at Sterling High School on Wednesday.

17-year-old Pablo Castaneda is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony.

According to court documents, Castaneda attempted to hit the 16-year-old student but missed. The student then hit him and a fight broke out between the two.

According to court documents, during the fight, Castaneda pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed the student.

The student was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Castaneda was taken into custody.

The documents show that when questioned by officers, Castaneda showed no remorse and told officers he stabbed the student and would do it again.

Castaneda is being held in Harris County Jail on $100,000 bail.
