Fans are convinced that clear signs in Singapore indicate that Daniel Ricciardo will soon be fired by Red Bull

Formula 1 fans are convinced that Daniel Ricciardo's time in the sport is over – and there is a very clear reason for this.

The Australian's future is uncertain, with various reports claiming that Singapore could be his last race as Red Bull looks to the future with Liam Lawson.

Although no decision has been announced yet, some F1 fans are convinced that there are clear indications of the team's decision in Singapore.

The city's MRT subway system has been plastered with advertisements by F1 teams ahead of race weekend, and Red Bull is no different.

Of their four drivers – in the main team Red Bull and the sister team Visa Cash App RB – there is no trace of Ricciardo or the ailing Sergio Perez.

This is in stark contrast to Max Verstappen and Yuki Tsunoda, who are at the centre of all marketing campaigns and whose future in the team is secured.

Ricciardo spoke to reporters at the track on Thursday and even he admitted he is not sure if he will be able to take part in one of his favorite races on the calendar in Texas.

“I actually heard that I won't be in the car for this race either, that was after Japan or something. I know what it's like and how it works and I knew there were always going to be some dates and deadlines… after the summer break or after Singapore,” he said.

“So, after Singapore comes the next one. But honestly, there is still so much uncertainty. Let's see how the weekend goes. I will give it everything I can. We will see what happens. I will try to get this thing on the podium, that is my plan.”

“After the decision, the decisions will be made. We, who know the contract, know where the dates are. So after the weekend we will know more.”

According to reports, Ricciardo is set to be released in favour of New Zealander Liam Lawson – currently the team’s reserve driver – before the New Zealander gets a permanent place on the grid in 2025.

Perez's future in the regular team is also uncertain despite his new two-year contract, as the Mexican is well behind world champion Max Verstappen.

It was originally thought that Ricciardo could move up from V-Ca-RB to Red Bull, but now the most likely outcome is that he will be released altogether.
