“The Bachelorette” star Devin Strader denies assault allegations: “Simply not true”

Former “Bachelorette” star Devin Strader has denied allegations of assault against his ex-girlfriend, which are based on a recently disclosed arrest warrant and restraining order from 2017.

“After my time on 'The Bachelorette,' many stories and misrepresentations were published in the media that I would like to address briefly,” Strader began in a social media post on Thursday. He referred to “challenges from a low point in [his] past” that “have been brought to the fore and severely misunderstood.”

“The allegations are simply not true as I never inappropriately laid a hand on another person or treated my ex-girlfriend in any of the ways that have been portrayed. This restraining order was never issued and has been fully lifted,” Strader continued, adding that he and his college ex-girlfriend ultimately reconciled and ended their relationship on “good terms,” while admitting that it was an “experience that we both grew from.”
