Wasp attack in Esslingen district: 14 primary school students stung, some multiple times – News from Stuttgart

A total of 14 pupils from a primary school and a teacher were attacked by a swarm of wasps on Thursday morning (September 19) in Leinfelden-Echterdingen (Esslingen district). Some of them were stung several times by the animals. Police and emergency services came to help.

Emergency services in major operation

According to the police, the elementary school class encountered the swarm of wasps on the way to a sports field. “Fortunately, those who were only slightly injured were able to receive medical treatment on site from a large number of emergency services,” a recent press release states. “Hospital treatment was not necessary.”

According to the police, the wasp nest has been cordoned off over a wide area. A specialist company is now taking care of the animals.
