Donald Trump tells an annoying lie about the New York subway

Donald Trump sank even lower than the New York subway line on Wednesday when he boldly claimed that there was a 75 percent risk that a child traveling alone would disappear forever. (Watch the video below.)

The Republican candidate said at a rally in Uniondale, New York, that his parents used to drop him off at the subway during what he described as a safer time.

“They weren't afraid I was going to disappear!” he said. “They took me to the subway, put me in it and said, 'Bye, honey, bye.' If you do that today, there's a 75 percent chance you'll never see your child again. What the hell happened here? What happened?”

From his outrageous lie – perhaps exaggerated for effect or sprung from some fictional statistics cave in his head – Trump went on to promise to renovate the subway and “get the criminals out of there” if elected.

Many critics view Trump's memories of getting off the subway with skepticism.
