Police have released video footage of three men after a teenager reported being raped and a woman said she was sexually assaulted on a popular British beach.

Police received reports of the two alleged sexual offences on Brighton beach at around 6am on 8 September.

The crimes are said to have occurred in a section of beach between the two piers.

Police are investigating the crimes and are looking for three men who may be able to assist with the ongoing investigation.

The two victims know each other, Sussex police said.

Detective Sergeant Paul Heal said: “The two victims are being cared for by specially trained officers as our thorough investigation continues.

“We are conducting multiple investigations to clarify the circumstances surrounding these incidents and ensure that those responsible are identified and held accountable for their actions.

“Patrols along Brighton seafront have been increased and we are working with our partner agencies to support this increased presence.

“If you recognise these men or have any information that assists our investigation, we ask you to contact the police.”

Anyone who can identify the men in the pictures or who saw suspicious activity near the seafront in the early hours of 8 September can report online here or by calling 101 quoting reference number 228 of 8 September.
