Dave Suddes has died

Motorcycle racer Dave Suddes has died as a result of an accident.

The news was announced in a statement from Oliver's Mount Racing, which read:

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Dave Suddes, a great and ever-present figure in our paddock, sadly passed away last night as a result of injuries sustained in an accident at East Fortune Racecourse on Saturday 14th September.

“Our sincere condolences go out to his wife Amanda, his children Stephanie, Jonathan and Chris, his staff at BDS Motorcycles and all his good friends, of which there were many in the racing community as he did so much to help so many from his BDS Motorcycles shop in North Shields.

“Dave loved Oliver's Mount very much, he sponsored the circuit and raced at all our events. He gave so much to so many people in the sport and we will sorely miss him and his big blue and orange BDS truck and his all too often topless body in our paddock. His BDS motorcycle plates will remain on our control tower until 2025 as a tribute to the man and all he did for our sport.”

During this difficult time, MCN’s thoughts are with his family and friends.
