Jorginho makes exciting Ethan Nwaneri prediction ahead of Arsenal's Champions League clash with Atalanta

Arsenal midfielder Ethan Nwaneri is currently on the verge of making his breakthrough into the first team under Mikel Arteta, who has so far been reluctant to put the young player under pressure.

In fact, Nwaneri would probably have been ready to play some minutes for Arsenal's first team for some time now, but Arteta has always shied away from leading players into a dead end.

However, given Martin Odegaard's serious injury, Arsenal could now rely on Nwaneri more regularly, especially after his contribution in the North London derby.

The 17-year-old appeared both talented and mature in his brief appearance, which took place under difficult circumstances.

Nevertheless, Arsenal could use Nwaneri in the starting line-up against Atalanta, even though the Italians would pose an equally big challenge for Tottenham.

Jorginho impressed with three key areas of Ethan Nwaneri’s game at Arsenal

Before Arsenal’s match against Atalanta, Jorginho spoke alongside Arteta at the club’s press conference.

Furthermore, given the current excitement surrounding Nwaneri, Jorginho was asked about his midfield teammate and his progress since joining the first team.

Jorginho spoke very positively about the England youth international and predicted a great future for him at Arsenal if he maintains his current level.

Speaking to Hayters TV, he said: “Yes, he's a young lad, he's growing very strongly, he's improving every day – a talented player with good skills who can dribble, break lines, score a goal and find a pass.”

“So I think he has a good future ahead of him if he keeps training like this and tries to improve every day.”

And as Arteta will now find out, it is becoming increasingly difficult to hold back Nwaneri.

Myles Lewis-Skelly also deserves his chance at Arsenal

Of course, in addition to Nwaneri, the young Arsenal players Myles Lewis-Skelly and Jack Porter also travelled to Italy with the first team.

Lewis-Skelly may be a household name by now, but Porter may not be as well known to Arsenal fans.

Porter, 16, is a goalkeeper who is predicted to have a bright future in North London, a profile rarely found at the Hale End Academy.

Not many homegrown goalkeepers have made it into Arsenal's first team in recent years, but Porter could buck that trend.

However, Atalanta's Sead Kolasinac has spoken about Arsenal ahead of his reunion with the club on Thursday evening.
