Edo elections 2024: Pastor whose prophecy favored Obaseki in 2019 gives up winner prediction

• A “prophet”, Chinonso Emmanuel, has said that the PDP will retain power in Edo State, dashing the hopes of APC’s Monday Okpebholo.

Benin City, Edo State – Prophet Chinonso Emmanuel has predicted victory for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2024 Edo State gubernatorial election.

Legit.ng reports that the election in Edo has been scheduled for Saturday, September 21. The leading candidates are Asue Ighodalo of the PDP, Monday Okpebholo (All Progressives Congress, APC) and Olumide Akpata (Labour Party, LP).

2024 Prophecy on the next governor of Edo

In the run-up to the 2020 Edo gubernatorial election, Prophet Emmanuel in 2019 said he saw “the oil of continuity on Godwin Obaseki’s head.” At the time, Obaseki, the incumbent governor of Edo, was seeking re-election to complete his constitutionally mandated eight-year term.

In a video posted on his popular Facebook page, Prophet Emmanuel dashed the hopes of the APC and LP regarding the upcoming election.

The cleric said Governor Obaseki would transfer “the remaining oil” to Ighodalo.

He said:

“Now I want to announce who will succeed Obaseki.

“I had a revelation in the spirit. And when the Lord opened my eyes, I saw the three major parties, namely APC, PDP and Labour. When these appeared before me, I saw a flag representing the three parties. The first one that appeared as number one was that of the PDP. The second was that of the APC and the third was that of Labour. That is what the (final) result will be.”

The clergyman, meanwhile, said he saw this as “a small challenge.”

He said:

“The challenge for me was that the gap between the PDP and the APC was small, which means Ighodalo will pray, so there is no room because the bride (Ighodalo) was already dressed.

“I saw it loud and clear when he was sworn in as the next governor of Edo State.

Edo: Prophet Boma predicts victory for PDP

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Prophet Abel Boma said that Ighodalo would emerge victorious in the upcoming election in Edo State.

In a video posted on his YouTube page, Prophet Boma dashed the APC’s hopes.
