Michigan man arrested after fatal knife attack on neighbor, police say

(CBS) – A 50-year-old Pontiac man was arrested Wednesday in connection with the fatal stabbing of his neighbor, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office said.

The sheriff's office said two men got into an argument at a home in the 100 block of Ypsilanti Avenue before the stabbing occurred around 8:15 a.m. Wednesday. The suspect was arrested by officers a short time later a few blocks away, near the corner of Walton Avenue and Baldwin Boulevard.

The victim, a 41-year-old man from Pontiac, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives are expected to submit the results of their investigation to the Oakland County District Attorney's Office for indictment as early as Thursday.
