Packers vs. Titans prediction, odds, spread, injuries, trends for NFL Week 3

The Green Bay Packers are trying to keep their heads above water while Jordan Love recovers from injury, and they did just that in Week 2 when they earned a narrow win over the Indianapolis Colts.

Now they head to Tennessee to face the Titans. It will be the Packers' second consecutive opponent in the AFC South. The Titans started their season trailing 0-2, but their defense has been impressive so far.

Let's take a look at the odds to find out what we can expect from this inter-conference showdown.

Titans Injury Report

Green Bay Packers

Josh Jacobs: If the Packers want to keep winning games with their starting quarterback out, they'll have to do what they did against the Colts and run Josh Jacobs as much as possible. He averaged 4.9 yards per carry through the first two weeks.

Tennessee Titans

Harold Landry III: The Titans linebacker has had a strong start to the season, recording three sacks and three tackles for loss through the first two weeks of the season. The Titans defense has been strong so far, and Landry has played a big part in their success.

In this week’s edition of Road to 272 Bets, I broke down my best tip for this game:

Before the season began, I believed that the moves the Titans made to bolster their defense would be enough to make them an elite unit in 2024. Through the first two games, I haven't seen anything to change my mind about that opinion. They lead the NFL in opponent yards per play at 3.8 and have been flying all over the field, most notably limiting opponents to just 3.9 yards per pass attempt.

The Packers were able to win last week, but it was almost entirely on the ground, running the ball 53 times and allowing Malik Willis to throw the ball just 14 times. While that type of game plan can get you a few wins, it's not a sustainable winning strategy. If Will Levis can keep his cool, I'm confident Tennessee's offense can score enough points for the Titans' defense to carry them to victory.

Selection: Titans -2.5 (-120)
