Couple found shot dead near Georgina Park

York Regional Police have confirmed that two adults were found with gunshot wounds in Georgina today and were pronounced dead.

According to police, this is an isolated case.

A curfew has been imposed in some schools in Georgina after shots were fired in a nearby park on Wednesday morning.

There is a heavy police presence in the area of ​​Bayview Park at 106 Bayview Ave. in Keswick after gunshots were heard around 7:28 a.m., York Regional Police Officer Kevin Nebrija said.

Police have set up a cordon on Dovedale Drive to the south, Bayview Avenue and Queensway to the northwest, and Fairwood Drive to the east.

During an arrest at a school, all external doors are locked and access to and exit from the school is controlled. Regular school operations continue.
