Preschool child in Bhopal allegedly sexually abused by school staff

BHOPAL: A three-and-a-half-year-old preschool girl was allegedly sexually abused multiple times by a staff member of her private school in Kamal Nagar, Bhopal.

The incident came to light on September 13, when the girl complained to her parents about pain in her private parts. A doctor's examination revealed injuries, and the parents reported the incident to the school administration the next day.

However, the school administration did not take any action and the parents filed a complaint with the Kamla Nagar police station on Tuesday evening.

A case of sexual assault was subsequently registered against the accused, identified as Qasim Rehan (25), under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
