Fatal accident involving ten vehicles in Seremban: One dead, numerous injured

SEREMBAN, Sept 18 – A man was killed, a woman seriously injured and two others were injured in an accident involving ten vehicles, including two trucks loaded with stones, in Lingkaran Tengah Seremban near a Caltex petrol station today.

Hamlan Ishak, chief of operations at the Negeri Sembilan Fire and Rescue Department, said the man, believed to be in his 40s, was pronounced dead from severe head and body injuries.

“A team of five firefighters from Seremban Fire and Rescue Station along with a fire truck were immediately dispatched to the scene after a call about the incident was received at 1.28pm.

“It took two hours to rescue the deceased victim, who was trapped under a truck, with the help of a crane. Several cars were involved in the accident, including an Axia, a Proton Saga, a Perodua Myvi, a Proton Persona, a Nissan X-Trail, a Perodua Kancil, a Honda City and a Mitsubishi Triton,” he told Bernama.

He said the truck drivers suffered only minor injuries.

The injured were taken to Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital here. — Bernama
