JD Vance reveals a cruel little detail of Trump's healthcare reform

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, a Republican like Yost, defended Springfield's Haitian population on Sunday. tell ABC's Martha Raddatz said, “The Haitians in Springfield are legal. They came to Springfield to work. Ohio is on the move, and Springfield has seen a big boom with many companies moving in. These Haitians have come to work for those companies.”

Yost seems to be paying no attention to local authorities and is instead taking his cues from Ohio Senator and Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance, who on Sunday argues that the spread of the false and dangerous rumor is justified because it “draws attention to the suffering of the American people.” In reality, the rumor has led to Threats of violence against schools, government buildings, hospitals and other gathering places in Springfield, even leading to the cancellation of a local festival.

If Vance, Yost and the rest of the Republican Party were serious about the strain population growth is putting on local communities like Springfield, perhaps they would offer practical, positive solutions instead of spreading racist rumors that terrorize their own voters.
