Cars fall into nullahs: 2 killed in separate accidents in state | News from Bhopal

Bhopal: In two separate incidents in the state, two people were killed when their respective cars plunged into nullahs following accidents in Rajgarh and Sehore districts.
In the latest incident, a 70-year-old person was killed and several others injured in Khilchipur in Rajgarh district while they were returning home from a pilgrimage. The car they were travelling in plunged into a nullah in Khilchipur on Tuesday morning after being hit by an unidentified vehicle.
The deceased was identified as Mahesh Pathak70, a resident of Nalkheda in Agar district of the state.
Pathak was on a pilgrimage to Bareily in Uttar Pradesh along with other locals and was on his way home when the accident occurred. After the accident, the other four people managed to escape but Mahesh Pathak remained trapped inside. He was later freed with the help of other locals and taken to hospital where doctors declared him dead, police said.
In the second incident, a youth was washed away when his car broke through the railing and entered a nullah. His body was found by rescue teams in Sehore district on Tuesday.
The deceased, identified as Manoj, 30, a resident of Mungwali village in Sehore, had fallen into a nullah on the outskirts of the village along with his car on Monday evening. The vehicle was recovered but Manoj could not be found on Monday. His body was found on Tuesday morning.
