Burnham-On-Sea police appeal for witnesses after woman sexually assaulted

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses after a man sexually assaulted a woman in Burnham-On-Sea.”

“The incident occurred at approximately 3.50pm on Friday 16 August behind several properties on Marine Drive, near Willis Court.”

“The man is described as Asian, in his late 20s or early 30s, with a prominent birthmark on his face and dark hair. He had some facial hair but no full beard.”

“If you saw what happened and recognize the description of the man or his vehicle, please come forward.”

“We have not received any other reports of this type of behavior in the area, so fortunately this appears to be an isolated incident.”
