Man in custody for assaulting two underage girls is accused by ex-wife of “unnatural sexual intercourse”

Mumbai: Police have registered a new case of unnatural sex against the man accused of sexually abusing two four-year-old girls in a school in Badlapur, Thane district.

The accused, who was working as a supervisor, is already in custody for allegedly sexually assaulting the girls in the toilet of a school in Badlapur. Officials said a 21-year-old woman – the second wife of the thrice-married man – approached the Boisar police and filed a complaint against him.

The woman had married the accused four years ago and was living with him and his family in Badlapur, officials said. He allegedly forced her to have “unnatural sex” with him, they said. The woman alerted her family members about the accused's behavior and later left him, she told police.

The Boisar police filed a complaint under Section 377 (unnatural sexual intercourse) of the Indian Penal Code. Later, the case was transferred to Badlapur (East) police station.

“The victim went to the police station along with a social worker to file a complaint against her ex-husband for having unnatural sexual intercourse with her. After receiving the complaint, we registered a case,” said senior inspector of Boisar police station Shirish Pawar.

Inspector Sanjay Shinde of the Thane Crime Branch, who is currently investigating the case, confirmed that a case of “unnatural sex” was reported at the Boisar police station on September 4.

The accused has worked as a housekeeper for several years. He has been married three times in the last four years. Two of his wives left him shortly after marriage. The accused's mother told police that they could not adjust to family life with him. His third wife is five months pregnant and has been living with him and his family for a year.
