Fight between teenagers leads to stabbing in Frederick County

FREDERICK, Maryland – A teenager was injured in a stabbing in the Ballenger neighborhood of Frederick County.

On Sunday, police arrested a 16-year-old in connection with the stabbing.

The background is an incident on August 10, when the police were called to the hospital because of a 16-year-old stabbing victim.

Police learned where it happened and the teenager's condition was reported to be stable at the hospital.

The investigation revealed that the victim was in the area to fight with the suspect. He attacked and was stabbed multiple times in the back.

The 16-year-old suspect was charged as an adult with first- and second-degree assault and carrying a weapon with intent to inflict injury.
