Incredible ratings: Stefan Raab’s comeback knocks out TV competition

The spectacular boxing match between show legend Stefan Raab and Regina Halmich was the long-awaited return of the show giant – but that was just the beginning. The entertainer has signed a 5-year contract with RTL and will present several primetime shows for the channel. “Du gewinnst hier nicht die Million bei Stefan Raab” starts on RTL+ every Wednesday at 8:10 p.m. from September 18th.

It was the TV comeback of the year! As expected, the fight between Stefan Raab and Regina Halmich achieved a gigantic rating. A total of 5.90 million viewers watched the boxing match – the market share was a very good 27.4 percent. “Exclusiv Spezial” then achieved an excellent 21 percent.

Impressive ratings among younger viewers

The TV competition was completely outclassed by young viewers aged between 14 and 49. Here, the fight received an incredible 52.9 percent – that corresponded to 2.95 million viewers. “Exclusiv Spezial” then achieved 42.7 percent. The viewers who watched the show on RTL+ are not included in the calculation – overall, there are probably significantly more viewers.

Stefan Raab came to stay. “I've decided: I'm going to do shows again!” he announced after the fight.
