The football family of 1. FC Union is very worried. Goalkeeper talent Berkin Arslanogullari (19) has been diagnosed with bone cancer.

Despite chemotherapy against cancer, the former U19 keeper had to have his left lower leg amputated to stop the progression of the disease.

Fighting cancer costs a lot of money

Now Arslanogullari is hoping for help from all football fans. The treatment, rehabilitation and new living conditions cost a lot of money, and his family's financial resources are exhausted. A friend of the family has therefore started a fundraising campaign.

Arslanogullari: “I have already overcome many obstacles in my life. And I will now fight this disease with all means at my disposal. I thank everyone.”

Arslanogullari's family is most urgently looking for a new handicapped-accessible apartment. A prosthetic leg is also still pending.

The association and its foundation support the campaign both financially and by spreading the word through their channels.

Arslanogullari himself is currently undergoing further chemotherapy treatments.

The Union talent is fighting. And now needs the help of the Iron Football Family.
