Hamilton County officials investigate fatal shooting in Cleves

CLEVES, Ohio – Officials are investigating after a man was killed in a shooting Sunday night.

According to a press release from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, officers were called to the 5900 block of East Miami River Road in Cleves at 2:57 p.m. for a report of shots fired.

When officers arrived at the scene, they said they found a man who was obviously suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Western Ridge where he was pronounced dead.

The Hamilton County Police Association SWAT team was called and assisted in searching a nearby property near the scene of the murder.

The victim's identity is currently being kept secret until family has been notified. Officials have not released any information on a possible suspect.
