At the end of the first lap of the SBK/STK 1000 class, the German racing driver Didier Grams staggered and fell. The rescue workers and the emergency doctor rushed to the scene and treated the two motorcycle racers immediately. Nevertheless, the Italian sports friend #23 Luca Maurizio Salvadori died in hospital late Saturday evening as a result of the accident.

What followed were numerous expressions of condolence. The Bronco Racing Team also commented on the tragic accident:

“It is with infinite sadness that we announce Death by Luca Salvadori. After an accident on the Frohburg circuit, the numerous injuries he suffered did not allow him to continue and he left us. We express our deepest condolences.

The girlfriend of the 32-year-old racing driver who died in the accident wrote a moving farewell post on Instagram: “I am leaving Germany with the sun, because you continue to shine, and with the rain, because even the sky cries for you. My heart stays here with you.” I hope it hurts one day less.

Luca Salvadori began his career as a racing driver in 2009 in Italian motorcycle racing and took part in a wide variety of competitions – including the MotE World Championship. In addition to the racetrack, Salvadori was also active as a YouTuber and reported on his experiences on the racetrack.

Incidentally, the race last weekend in Frohburg was continued after careful consideration following the horror crash.
