A Geneva man was arrested in connection with a stabbing Wednesday morning. Michael A. Sapp, 34, was charged with first-degree assault and third-degree illegal possession of a weapon, according to city police.

Sapp, a convicted felon, turned himself in to authorities and was identified as the only person of interest in the case. He was taken to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.

Police said the 30-year-old victim, who suffered multiple stab wounds to his upper body, is expected to make a full recovery. The stabbing occurred while the victim was sitting alone in a vehicle on Elmwood Avenue.
