M8 closed near Glasgow Airport during rush hour after two-vehicle crash

The M8 was closed during rush hour near Glasgow Airport following a “two-vehicle” crash.

Traffic Scotland warned drivers that the collision would block the westbound slip road at Junction 27 as it was partially blocked by the two vehicles.

Drivers are asked to exercise caution when approaching moving traffic.

A Traffic Scotland post said: “Due to a road traffic incident, the M8 westbound is currently closed at Junction 27.”

“Motorists are asked to be careful when approaching and to allow extra time for the journey.”
