Stree 2 choreographer Jani Master is accused of sexually harassing a woman multiple times, arrested

Noted choreographer Shaik Jani Basha, better known as Jani Master, has been booked after a woman accused him of sexually harassing her on multiple occasions. Jani recently made headlines for choreographing chart-topper Aayi Nai in Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor's film Stree 2.

According to reports, the complainant is a 21-year-old choreographer who approached the Raidurgam police in Hyderabad to file her complaint. She stated that she had been working closely with Jani Master for the past few months and added that she had been assaulted by him during her outdoor shoots.

The complaint mentioned that the woman accused Jani Master of sexually abusing her several times in Chennai, Mumbai and Hyderabad and also at her residence in Narsingi.

Following her complaint, no FIR was filed and the case has now been handed over to the Narsingi police.

Jani Master has been booked under several sections of the IPC, including rape, criminal intimidation and intentional causing hurt. Director General of Women Safety Wing (WSW) Telangana, Shikha Goel, has assured strict investigation and action.

There is no official statement from Jani Master regarding the allegations so far.

For those who don’t know, Jani Master works primarily as a choreographer in the Telugu film industry and has also choreographed several rousing numbers in Kannada cinema.

In Bollywood, he has a number of songs to his credit including Photocopy from Jai Ho, the title song of Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Laal Peeli Ankhiyaan and the latest songs are Aaj Ki Raat and Aayi Nai from Stree 2.
