2 men injured after fight leads to stabbings in Phoenix

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — One man is fighting for his life in the hospital and another man is injured after a fight turned into a stabbing near the old Metrocenter mall in Phoenix Sunday morning, according to police.

Around 8 a.m., Phoenix police were called to a QuikTrip near 27th and Peoria Avenue. Officers arrived to find a man who had been stabbed. They also found another man with stab wounds at a Wendy's near 31st and Peoria Avenue, less than a half-mile from the gas station.

Both men were taken to hospital; one suffered life-threatening injuries, the other is expected to survive.

According to police, there was an altercation between the men and the stabbings. The investigation is ongoing.
