Isaiah Likely's prediction after the loss to the Chiefs is already proving to be ridiculously wrong

As it turns out, Isaiah was probably wrong.

The Baltimore Ravens tight end is a younger player, so it's understandable that he doesn't have a wealth of experience to draw his conclusions from, so he should be forgiven for saying some things incorrectly following the team's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1.

For the sake of perspective, Likely and the Ravens lost their prime-time season opener to the Chiefs and were pretty upset afterward. Many players refused to give the Chiefs credit or blamed the referees for various things. As for Likely, he warned the Chiefs about future matchups and seemed ready to shrug off their Week 1 losses.

“This is probably the worst game we'll play all year, so if this is their best game, good luck in the postseason,” Likely said.

Yes, about this “worst game” thing.

As it turns out, not only did the Ravens play even worse football, but they were ready to show it just 10 days later. After receiving a mini-bye of sorts after starting the year on a Thursday night, the Ravens hosted the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 2 and came up short again. Yes, an 0-2 start for the AFC's No. 1 seed a year ago after losing to… Gardner Minshew?

We're sure the Raiders deserve credit here, and maybe the Chiefs will see that they're stronger than expected when they play them later this year, but we also have to smile that the Ravens suffered yet another loss to a team that was predicted to end up in the AFC West cellar just a week later after making such a big splash the week before.
