Good Samaritans lift vehicle off pedestrian after traffic accident

SOMERVILLE, Massachusetts (Gray News) – Officials in Massachusetts are praising a group of Good Samaritans who rushed to help after a traffic accident Friday.

Somerville Police posted on Facebook that bystanders immediately intervened after a pedestrian was trapped under a vehicle following a car crash.

From a distance, a traffic camera can be seen helping the group of people lift the vehicle off the pedestrian and put it down again a few meters away.

Police said the quick and selfless actions of bystanders made the critical difference and helped save the person's life.

“Moments like this remind us of the strong community spirit we have in Somerville,” the department said.
