Advice and prediction

The Bears and Texans will play each other for the first time since September 2022, when Chicago took the win in head coach Matt Eberflus' first season. However, Chicago has struggled in the past when playing in Houston, as they have lost 2-0 in both of their away games. Meanwhile, the Bears have a brutal streak on Sunday Night Football, where they have lost their last seven meetings.

The Texans are 6.5-point favorites against a Bears offense that failed to score a touchdown in the season opener. Houston is a team many consider a Super Bowl contender, while Chicago is hoping for its first playoff appearance since 2020. Unless the Bears defense puts in another dominant performance, the Texans should finish at 6.5 points.

The over/under is tricky at 45.5. Although both Chicago and Houston scored nearly 30 points in their season openers, this could be a big game for two impressive defenses. The Bears defense allowed 17 points to the Tennessee Titans in Week 1 but held them scoreless in the second half. The Texans, on the other hand, allowed 27 points to the Indianapolis Colts in their opener. But they will face a Chicago offense that failed to score a single touchdown in Week 1.

forecast: Texans 24, Bears 17
