My analysis
Left-hander Andrew Heaney is on the mound for the Texas Rangers this afternoon and should be a good candidate for a fade. Heaney is 5-13 with a 3.84 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP after 29 appearances on the mound.

While those aren't the worst numbers in the world, his underlying metrics suggest a decline is imminent. He has a 4.12 xERA and ranks in the bottom half of the league in xBA, average exit velocity, barrel rate and hard hit rate.

That expected decline will likely come to fruition against the Seattle Mariners, a team against which Heaney is 1-5 with a 5.44 ERA in his last 10 meetings. Seattle, meanwhile, turns the ball over to RHP George Kirby.

Kirby outperformed Heaney in ERA, WHIP, xERA, average exit velocity, walk rate and hard hit rate. The pitching advantage doesn't end there, as the M's bullpen outperformed Texas' bullpen in ERA, FIP and xFIP.

Finally, Seattle's pitching staff will likely receive solid run support, as the Mariners' current lineup boasts a .250 BA, .479 SLG, and .352 wOBA in 161 total career batting appearances against Heaney.

I'll back Kirby in the prop market as he ranks in the top half of the league in both chase and strikeout rates. That success will likely continue against Texas, whose current lineup has a 23.5% strikeout rate after 115 total at-bats against Kirby.

Since I'm simultaneously betting on Kirby and the Mariners to win by two or more runs, a highly correlated outcome would be for Seattle's members to get some hits. Enter JP Crawford, who has a .334 xBA in 26 at-bats against Heaney.

Crawford has also scored eight goals in his last ten games.
