Two injured, two arrested in stabbing at Oceanside campground – San Diego Union-Tribune

Two people were arrested in connection with a stabbing at an Oceanside campground early Saturday that left two victims hospitalized, authorities said.

Police were called to the Pacific Harbor Campground on North Pacific Street near Harbor Drive around 2:15 a.m. They found a woman lying on the ground bleeding from the head. They also found a teenager with a minor stab wound to the back and several abrasions.

The victims, described only as Hispanics, were taken to a hospital for treatment, police spokeswoman Heather Mitchell said.

Based on videos provided to authorities by witnesses, a 30-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, Mitchell added.

There was initially no further information about the causes of the stabbing.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact Detective Sgt. Dave Estrada at (760) 435-4698 or email [email protected].
