BYU Football Game Week – in Wyoming – BYU Athletics – Official Athletics Site

Opening speech

“New week. We're super excited to go into week three 2-0. After watching the film, I'm really proud of the team. Like I said after the game, there's still a lot of room for improvement, so we're excited to get started today.”

About Wyoming

“We're looking forward to the road game against Wyoming this week. Knowing the history of this rivalry, I know they have a passionate fan base that loves the team, and I know they're looking forward to this game as well. They're a really well-coached team with strong guys and a great culture.”

“We try to do things the right way and always respect our opponent. Every week is different, you never know what's going to happen, but that's football. This is an old rival of ours, so I know a lot of fans want to see Wyoming win, so we're going to go out there and do better than we have. We haven't played our best football yet and I don't think our identity has come through in all three phases, so this is a good week for that.”

About Running Back Enoch Nawahine

“Enoch has done a great job with his vision and his ability to run the football. For a guy who hasn't had that many reps in practice to perform at a high level is great, and he's made some really great plays for us. Both he and Miles Davis have done a great job, so we know we can count on those guys.”

In the offensive line

“We would like to have a little more explosiveness than we have had so far, but we know it's not for lack of talent. We have a lot of talent and ability, and this week will be a good opportunity for some of our young players to make big plays. The O-line is doing a great job, and I want to take better advantage of that.”

Safety on the ball

“It comes down to taking care of the football. I don't want the guys to play tight and not take advantage of opportunities, but we need to protect the ball better. The football doesn't belong to just one player. It belongs to the fans, the team and the program, so the guys need to start thinking about it more like that. Our offense needs to take care of the football.”
