Bayern gives Musiala a gigantic price tag – there is probably a clear plan behind it

Jamal Musiala is considered to be Bayern's absolute flagship. The record champions will build a competitive team around the DFB star in the coming years. While talks about a contract extension with the 21-year-old are said to already be underway, the Munich team have now set a gigantic price tag for the offensive star.

Jamal Musiala has once again demonstrated his great talent, especially in his performance against Hungary in the Nations League. It is therefore no surprise that FC Bayern wants to extend the contract of the offensive all-rounder as soon as possible. Talks about the 21-year-old's future are scheduled for the coming weeks and could prove difficult.

Like the English portal CaughtOffside reported, Liverpool FC has joined the long list of Musiala observers. The Reds will “try everything” to lure the attacker to Anfield Road in the summer of 2025 if he does not sign a contract with Bayern.

Musiala himself has stressed in the past that he could well imagine a return to the island. The youngster already played for Southampton and Chelsea in his youth.

If Musiala really wants to leave Bayern next summer, a mega transfer is on the horizon. According to CaughtOffside The Munich club's financial pain threshold is around 180 million euros. A sum that could deter Liverpool or other interested parties such as PSG, Manchester City, Real Madrid or Barcelona.

One aspect that could also be relevant in this context is a possible share of the resale by Chelsea FC. When Musiala moved from England to Germany in 2019, Chelsea is said to have secured a 20 percent share of the resale. This could make a transfer even more complicated.
