Bern man arrested for possession of child pornography, police say

New York State Police arrested Anthony W. Rera, 29, of Berne on Wednesday for promoting and possessing images related to the sexual exploitation of children.

According to state police, his arrest followed an investigation and the execution of a search warrant for his home in Bern.

According to authorities, Rera was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and being in possession of a sexual performance by a child.

His case was processed at the Princetown State Police and he was taken to the Schoharie County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
