22-year-old man faces dozens of child sexual abuse charges in Massachusetts.

A former Easthampton man was charged with 35 counts Friday related to incidents involving the sharing of child sexual abuse material between 2021 and 2023, according to a news release from the office of Northwest District Attorney David E. Sullivan.

Liam Galpin, 22, pleaded not guilty before Hampshire Super Court Judge Bertha D. Josephson to seven counts of possession of child sexual abuse material, 26 counts of distributing visual material depicting a child naked or engaged in sexual acts, one count of spreading zoophilia and one count of attempting to commit a crime by unauthorized use of a computer system, the statement said.

The case was brought to the investigator's attention through “multiple” cyber tips from Microsoft to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, according to the prosecutor's press release. The investigation was conducted by detectives from the Easthampton and Northampton police departments.
