Knife attack on woman in downtown Cuxhaven! Passers-by stop man

Cuxhaven- Dramatic incident: This Saturday, a 21-year-old man in Cuxhaven was hit by a Knife attacked a 34-year-old woman. He was stopped by passers-by.

According to the police, the emergency services were informed at around 12.15 p.m. that the man had stabbed several people in Nordersteinstrasse before he was stopped by passers-by.

Fortunately, it turned out on site that the 21-year-old had not (yet) stabbed anyone when he was brought to the ground by the witnesses.

According to current information, an argument broke out between the suspect and a 34-year-old woman, after which the man chased the woman in Nordersteinstrasse with a raised knife.

The incident was witnessed by some passers-by who bravely intervened and overpowered the attacker. He was then handed over to the police, who took him to a police station.

In a statement, the officers thanked the “passers-by who intervened energetically and with great civil courage” and had prevented the situation from getting worse.
