“When I’m around him I become a child” – Fireboy praises Wande Coal

Nigerian singer Fireboy DML has praised veteran singer Wande Coal for his influence on his career.

The “Peru” singer said he “becomes a child” when he is around Wande Coal.

He described his first meeting with Wande Coal as a dream come true.

In a recent episode of the podcast Is This Seat Taken, Fireboy said: “It was a dream when I first met Wande Coal. I become a child when he is around. He is a legend. That [meeting him] was a blessing and a surreal moment.”

He reiterated that Wande Coal inspired him to make music.

Fireboy paid tribute to Wande Coal on his eponymous fourth studio album “Adedomala” with a track titled “Wande's Song”.
