Lara Trump delivers keynote speech at Republican summer dinner in Alabama

MONTGOMERY, Alabama (WSFA) – Lara Trump, co-chair of the Republican National Committee and daughter-in-law of former President Donald Trump, spoke Friday during the Alabama Republican Party’s annual summer dinner.

In her speech, Trump highlighted two things that are the driving force of the Republican Party today.

Trump said protecting ballots was a top priority for Republicans, adding that the RNC was working to crack down on illegal voting.

“If you try to cheat in an election, we will find you, we will track you down and we will prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law,” Trump said.

Trump mentioned that her father-in-law's campaign had brought together 175,000 volunteers who would work on Election Day “as poll watchers, poll workers, in the counting centers and as on-the-ground legal experts.”

The RNC co-chair also said another focus for Republicans is building a country for future generations.

“It's about ensuring that the future generations of this country can live in the America that we all grew up in,” Trump said.

The Alabama Republican Party has raised $1 million for the former president's campaign.
