Victim in critical condition after stabbing in Tarboro

TARBORO, NC (WITN) – Tarboro Police said one person is in critical condition and three people have been charged following a stabbing.

On Thursday around 11:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a disturbance at 505 Hall Street in Tarboro, where they found a victim with multiple stab wounds.

Emergency medical services took the victim to ECU Health in Tarboro and then transferred him to ECU Health in Greenville.

Lakeisha Toles of Tarboro and Derek Epps of Pinetops are charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and inflicting serious injury.

According to the police, the charge is bodily harm.

Toles is being held on $25,000 bail. Epps has a hearing scheduled for Monday.

The investigation is ongoing and Tarboro Police are asking anyone with information to call 252-641-4247.
