Arrests made after stabbing, attack on two Brazos County jail guards and two bail violations – WTAW


College Station police posted on their Facebook page a stabbing that occurred on Longmire Drive on Thursday (Sept. 12). The CSPD arrest report states that the resident of an apartment suffered a small stab wound to the neck from a guest who, according to apartment management, was not supposed to be there. The guest told officers the stabbing was in self-defense. Adrian Verrette, 51, of College Station, was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He remains in jail as of Sept. 13. No bail has been set yet, according to online jail records.

A Houston man who has been incarcerated in the Brazos County Jail since his 31st birthday on Aug. 9 is now accused of assaulting two jail guards and attempting to take a Taser from one of the officers. The sheriff's arrest report states that another jail guard fired his Taser. Jail medical staff provided first aid to the officers. The original charges against Nicholas Petty include robbery and the third consecutive day he was charged with disorderly conduct. Petty remains in custody since Sept. 13, pending bail totaling $41,000.

Officers with the Bryan Police Department's response team find a man arrested for the second time in three months on bail violations for being with the victim of two domestic violence crimes. Braelyn Jones, 20, of College Station, is awaiting trial on misdemeanor charges of domestic violence with assault in May and false imprisonment in July. Jones, who is in jail for the fifth time since Feb. 19, has remained incarcerated since Sept. 12 on $25,000 bail.
